Installing a template
Installing a template adds a pre-built agent to your workspace. TeamMate creates a real agent from the template’s configuration, which you then own and can edit.
Install a template
- Open the template
In the Agent Hub, find the template you want (see Browsing templates) and click it to open its detail view.
- Review the details
Read the description, capabilities, and any requirements. Some templates list integrations or a minimum plan they expect.
- Add it to your workspace
Click the add button (shown as “Add to Workspace”). TeamMate creates the agent from the template and confirms when it is ready.
- Start chatting
Once installed, open a conversation with the new agent. See Your first conversation.
After installing
- The new agent appears in your workspace alongside any agents you built yourself.
- It carries the template’s instructions, model, and capabilities as a starting point. Customize anything in the agent builder.
- If a template is already installed, the Agent Hub shows it as installed so you do not add a duplicate.
Updates
Installations are tracked, so when a template publishes a newer version, your workspace can flag that an update is available. If you enabled auto-update at install time, TeamMate keeps the agent aligned with the template; otherwise you apply updates yourself.
Uninstalling
Uninstalling a template removes the agent it created and its installation record. Do this from the agent or from the template’s detail view. Removing the agent does not delete unrelated agents.
