Account research brief

You’ll stand up an agent that researches a company on demand and returns a short, structured brief — invoked right from Slack before a call.

The plan

  1. Start from an Agent Hub template
  2. Enable web search
  3. Connect it to Slack
  4. Invoke it from your sales channel

Step 1 — Start from a template

Open the Agent Hub and install a research-style template to get a working agent fast, then edit its system instructions to produce your brief format: company snapshot, recent news, likely pain points, and a suggested opener. (You can also build from scratch in Agents.)

In the Capabilities tab, enable Web Search so the agent can pull current information about the account rather than relying on stale training data.

Step 3 — Connect Slack

Add Slack as a channel so reps can reach the agent where they already work. See the Slack integration for connecting the workspace.

Step 4 — Use it before calls

A rep mentions the agent in your sales channel with a company name and gets the brief back in the thread. Test the prompt-to-brief flow in the builder preview first, then refine the format.
