Onboarding buddy

You’ll build an agent that greets new hires, collects their details through a form, and sends scheduled onboarding emails over their first weeks.

The plan

  1. Create the onboarding agent
  2. Build a new-hire intake form
  3. Give it an email address to send from
  4. Trigger and schedule onboarding touchpoints

Step 1 — Create the agent

Create an agent in Agents. In System instructions, set a warm, helpful tone and define the onboarding milestones it owns.

Step 2 — Build an intake form

Use the Interfaces tab and the form schema builder to collect name, role, start date, and team so the buddy can personalize messages.

Step 3 — Give it an inbox

Publish the agent and add agent mail so it can email new hires and reply to their questions.

Step 4 — Time the touchpoints

Use a trigger for the day-one welcome and recurring tasks for the week-one and week-two check-ins. Test from the builder preview.
