Troubleshooting chat

Use these checks when Chat does not behave as expected.

What you can do here

  • Check why a chat is empty.
  • Confirm whether an upload finished.
  • Stop a stuck response.
  • Recover a browser-workspace folder connection.
  • Reopen or delete stale chat history rows.

Empty state does not show specialists

  1. Confirm you are on New Task for the correct app.
  2. Check that the app has published agents.
  3. Use the left sidebar Agents section if the empty-state cards are still loading.

File upload is missing

  1. Check whether the selected agent allows attachments.
  2. Wait for the upload preview to finish before sending.
  3. Remove and reattach the file if the preview stays in the uploading state.

Browser workspace files are unavailable

  1. Confirm the agent uses browser workspace mode.
  2. Reconnect the folder from the folder chip or banner.
  3. Use @ in the composer only after the folder has been granted.

Response is stuck

  1. Click the stop button if it is visible.
  2. Refresh the chat if the stream status does not clear.
  3. Reopen the chat from history if the title or transcript looks stale.

Chat history looks wrong

The new chat page updates the URL after the first message without remounting the chat. If the sidebar still points to an older row, click New Task and reopen the correct row from the grouped history.
